about us.
We’re Amin and Nathan, co-founders of Focus Technology, a company born out of EPFL with a shared passion for precision, design, and innovation.
Our journey started in the labs of EPFL, where Nathan developed the foundation of our core technology as part of his master’s thesis in robotics. With hands-on experience at Rolex and a sharp eye for technical excellence, he now leads our R&D efforts, continuously refining the optics and mechanical systems behind our dynamic loupe, the Multi-Micros.
Amin brings a background in chemistry and a strong entrepreneurial spirit, having been part of a Series B startup in France and launched multiple ventures. With a deep network of investors and an eye for strategy and storytelling, he drives the business development and communication of Focus Technology.
Together, we’re building tools that redefine how artisans, particularly watchmakers, interact with their craft—starting with Multi-Micros, a loupe with variable magnification, bridging tradition and deeptech innovation. We believe that tools should elevate the expertise of their user, not limit it.
Each day, we combine precision engineering and creative thinking to bring these tools to life—tools that are as functional as they are refined.
